What I think of myself after making my portfolio...
They kind of student that I plan on being next school year is definitely "that one chick with the good grades"; grades to me, are very important. I hope I will be able to balance my AP classes and my other required classes, plus sports and just having time for my friends. I was a pretty good student this year, but my grades dropped a littl during softball; it went from a 4.0 to a 3.43...pretty bad. I'm really looking forward to junior year; the most important year of my high school career. I'm nervous at the same time, I feel as if something might happen that will hold me back and will prevent me form succeeding in what I want to do and accomplish. Sometimes friends can be a burden on your studies. I definitely tried to saty away from my friends during class time because, frankly, they were definitely a distraction! On the other hand, they can be helpful, if you dont feel comfortable with some people in the class, you can always turn to your friends for help or advise.Im definitely going to be doing some extra things next year besides schooling such as: softball,
volleyball,
Student Leadership Council,
School Site Council,
and take some classes at a community college.
But, the main priority out of my small list is SOFTBALL! I'm really hoping to become a starting pitcher of our team next year. Our team is pretty good!
And this year... out of every crazy thing that occurred, I had to say I highly enjoyed my Adv.Algebra class because it made me want a career in mathematics. I am considering to persue a schooling to become an architect. Sophomore year has been such a different experience, it has truly been unique and life-changing. I just hope I will get to have the same experiences in the future.
